Thank you for sharing your photos - I LOVE them. I'm really blown away by them. Rome has been one of my biggest interests all my life, one that I carried into college, studying Greco-Roman culture - history, Latin, religion, literature, art. It started out when I was a kid, with mythology, but a huge part of it was also Pompeii. It was the images of those bodies that haunted and fascinated me, and the ancient city dug out of the volcanic debris. Looking at Pompeii in these photos, I'm amazed at how much bigger and more intricate it is than I ever imagined. There is so much beauty and reverence in your pictures of Rome and Naples and Pompeii that I found them absolutely compelling. And there's so many I haven't even gotten past Pompeii! Will have to get back to see the rest. But thanks again for sharing these. It looks like one hell of a vacation.
