response to ravensee

It took me a while to think of a response to this one.

I mean the house has been pissing me off a lot lately. I hate the clutter. I hate the mess. I hate the fact that progess on the renovations has been slow to non-existant. So an answer to her question really troubled me for quite some time. Are my expectations too high? Am I doomed to be discontented with my lot for forseeable future?

Then on Saturday morning I struggled to get to work on time, and the answer came to me in a flash of inspiration.



OK, maybe a slow drag of inspiration.

I think I'm going to go there very soon.

My house projects aren't on the same scale as yours, but that's EXACTLY how I feel about our place & lack of progress. To the point where, if I find myself unemployed in the near future, I'll delay job search for a couple weeks just to get some stuff (mostly the carpet I've been wanting to get rid of since I moved in) shifted.

I wish the kids would let me sleep in my bed one day. I'm usually curled up in a corner by Rich's feet when I wake up since they come down in the middle of the night, snuggle in and take it over.
