I"ve had it for 16 years and haven't had any problems with it at all. Take care of your gums, have it checked regularly, and it should be fine. I would suggest making sure that it is the steel w/ porcelain veneer. That's what mine is and it could keep going. They're designed to go 20-30 years and the ones being designed now are even better than the one I have.
