Let me explain... No, there is too much. Let me sum up.

Thursday involved Norwalk virus. 0/10 do not recommend

Friday mostly involved sleeping and trying to re-hydrate. And apparently also a massive windstorm which I sadly mostly don't remember.

Saturday involved looking out the window and saying "Hey, that is a whole entire tree in our backyard. Good thing it missed the house." And then spending the day sterilizing every thing in my bedroom and bathroom because yikes. And a lot of saying "ow" because the muscles along my ribs feel like somebody beat me with a pipe.

Today has involved looking out the window and saying, "Uuuuuh, that tree is a lot closer today than it was yesterday and that might be a problem." Over the course of the last several hours I have now spoken to phone reps from:
  • the city
  • CN Rail
  • CP Rail
  • GO Transit
  • Hydro
  • Bell Canada

Hydro came by right away and confirmed that there are none of the lines involved belong to them, but I'm still waiting on responses from the other players.

So how is your weekend been going so far?

Substantially better than that. Holy shit. I'm sorry. I had what I think was Norwalk recently and I thought I was dying.

Non-toxic, mostly. Slept about 18 hours today so .. fighting something off? Nothing broke in the windstorm - I think our house has just the right combination of rigidity and fluidity to survive repeated batterings - knock on wood.

Oh, and our Internet is back!

I had the great Wine Glass Disaster of 2018.
But I cooked a pork roast with excellent crackling.

    So, balance?
