My good friend was until recently my landlady, but she's going to sell the house I was living in. This has occasioned scheduling a variety of contractors to paint, recarpet, replace drywall, put in new countertops, etc. to get it ready for sale. She originally tried to schedule the painters in *March* for this week, because she knows summer gets busy. The guy said yeah, I can do that, gave her a quote, she said sounds good, followed up a month ago to nail down exact timing, he said he could 'probably' do Monday-Wednesday. But when she contacted him again last week, all of sudden he said he couldn't do it at all, he was backed up and he didn't think it was still on anyway because she 'never responded' to his last email (the one where he said 'probably' Monday-Wednesday was fine.) :o I told her when she agreed to the quote and he said he'd schedule it, that's a contract and she could probably sue if she wanted. Fucking ridiculous. I hope you can get your roof patched.
