Write Every Day: Day 13

I was so stiff this morning I could not get out of bed. I ended up having to do that yoga thing where you just... rock back and forth on your back until you get enough momentum to roll up onto your feet. I'm sure I looked absolutely ridiculous. Mobility has been increasing over the course of the day as I move around though, so I'm sure now it's just a strained muscle.

And I did manage to get a little bit of writing done yesterday while I was chilling - maybe about 250 words? So that feels like an accomplishment. I figure a strained muscle is a good excuse to take it easy this evening, so I plan on doing the same tonight.

Day 13: Feeling a bit better today, I edited the first two chapters of my Flight of the Heron/White Cockades fic. The end is in sight...

That sounds painful! I'm glad your mobility has improved throughout the day, but ouch!

Aug 13: 1079 words, and a COMPLETE FUCKING DRAFT BABY. I've been working on this story since January 2020 (with breaks for another 166K of published stories, since I'm usually a many-projects-in-rotation writer), and I made a big push this year to get it finished. AND I DID. I HAVE A COMPLETE DRAFT. AT LONG FUCKING LAST. 95K words, the longest thing I've ever written!

(Still a ton of work to do to get it ready for publishing, of course, but I did my first revision pass last month, and I should be able to get it all published this year! Woo-hoo!)

Aug 13th - 1248 words. A 1k challenge fic, and some editing on an older fic late last night when I should have been in bed.

I wrote about 200 (?) words or so today, largely a narrative outline of the ending, which has changed somewhat from my original ideas for it. I also took out a bit here and there to make the new idea work. Of course, I still have to actually end this thing. Lol!

158 words for me, though not on one of my WIPs; while swimming I was assaulted by a pernicious plotbunny related to a very recent event in my main fandom circle and wrote a rough draft of this down. The plan was to actually write the story later, but then a beer festival happened at the castle parking ground which is a bit above our ground level and about 350 yards away, and once darkness fell and I was settling down to write, their music became so loud and intrusive I couldn't focus on anything (not even watching some mindless stuff on YT as I couldn't hear anything above the music, and I can't wear headphones due to my tinnitus). /o\
