John Tory was our ex-Mayor. His entire platform was "I won't raise taxes" and so people voted for him and now we have cuts to transit, housing, road repair, you name it. Cops are doin' OK though.

There was a great image from the coronation of Diana's ex-husband being carted in a golden carriage over roads where the pot-holes had been filled with wet sand because the city can't afford to fix them. We aren't quite at that scale yet, but we're headed there.
