Write Every Day: Day 5

Yesterday was in fact cool enough in the house to use my computer, so transcribing did happen along with some editing and a few additional words at the end.

Today I'm busy after work so I'm taking advantage of my lunch break to slap a couple of alibi sentences down. No doubt I will change them all next time I look at them, but it's the principle of the thing.

You are using alibi sentences for one of the chief reasons for which they were invented! Go, you! :-)

I added 401 words to Chapter 15, resolving the argument at last and leading, inevitably, to another sex scene. I'm thinking it might be one too many, but I might soft-focus it and just do the snapshots of sensations thing. We're heading into the climactic chapters, and I'm anxious to get to the, uh, other kind of action in an action-romance. ;-)

Day 5: 700 words, and we're through the difficult character motivations bit (at least until the second draft) and into some exciting adventure!

June 5: Travel day, so not much time, but I also transcribed today! And was pleased to discover that the passage I transcribed was better than I had remembered it being. :-)

June 3: Was out hiking all day, no writing at all.
June 4: Brainstorming email to beta reader.
June 5: 100 words; total wordcount 9,600.

I really don't have that far to go on this fic! Will make a better effort tomorrow.

Day 5 finished editing the novel, edited 2 chapters of another novel and two short stories

Day 5: Another 10 minutes (might have been twelve, I lost track a bit), another almost-but-not-quite page. Feel like I'm getting back into the swing of the story a bit but I think I want to go at least one more week before I do something silly like try and tackle figuring out whether any of this actually will fit into the draft and trying to massage the more recent sections of the draft into something coherent.

Day 5: 782 words + several pages longhand
Yesterday was a surprisingly productive day, despite being sleep-deprived due to feline early-morning terror. *rolls eyes at cat* We got our yearly woodpellet delivery for the heating system (always something of an effort as we're both required to aid the driver to get the hose to our store), and later some heavy-duty garden work did happen. But I wrote a big chunk of words for the drawer project, wrote lots of comments and a short blog entry, and three or four longhand pages for morning pages (which never happen in the morning for me) and the diary. I'm kind of re-discovering longhand writing which is fun.
