Write Every Day: Day 2

Saturday is chores day. Yesterday I did laundry, got caught up on some of the piles of dishes left over from the week (because I couldn't run the dishwasher with frozen pipes), made an appointment to get an energy audit done on the house and started sorting out the piles of paper I've been shoving into a folder labelled "taxes".

And then I wrote a couple of paragraphs while a cat sat on my lap and did his best to keep me from using my hands for anything that wasn't petting his ears.

I expect today to be more of the same.

For the 2nd: I had a brainwave, so I'm currently rewriting a section of my holly_poly fic in a way that will hopefully make it better. *g*

Your Saturday sounds like mine, in the busy-ness department. Our Saturdays are always for visiting my mother in the home and then running ALL the errands, since T. works on Sundays, and I work M-F. I appreciate that your cat let you get some words in. :-)

On Day 2, I added 168 words to that weird western short story I mentioned. I still have no idea where it's going, but I think I made it a little clearer where it's already been.

Feb 2nd - 2497 words, a triple drabble, more work on yesterday's fic (which still isn't finished) and 4 ficathon fills.

Days 1-2: alibi sentences only for me, I got my wisdom teeth out a few days ago and I'm still not up for much other than playing Stardew Valley. (should not have put getting rid of them off until my 30s ;____; )

Sounds like Saturday was a productive, if not exactly fun day.

Day 2: 462 words of "TWICE as many alphas," which put me at the end of chapter 81, so I posted it. Also today I finished making my first K-pop doll (https://brithistorian.dreamwidth.org/1932892.html). ^_^

Yay for your writing, cat or not! ^^ Writing around cats is one of my permanent issues... I'm keeping a small cardboard box besides my keyboard and mostly manage to coax them to go in there, although the girls always insist on intense cuddling episodes before that, with a full focus on them. XD

Checking in for days 1+2. I had to give over a lot of my usual focus on writing to current real-life demands (renovating a house, you know only too well about that! - thankfully not ours, though), so I'm currently also not counting words, just aiming at doing some proper writing every day, even if it's nonfic.
Day 1 was just an alibi sentence of meta for a current drawer WIP, day 2 actually produced a nice chunk of story draft.
