Last night I had the worst asthma attack I've ever had.

I should have gone home a lot earlier than I did, but I was fighting giving into it, wanting to stay out and play. When I finally did go home I couldn't find my inhaler right away and I started to panic, searching the house, running back and forth until the world got very dark and very small and I woke up on the floor.

Today I hurt all over. The inside of my chest feels like there is a brick in it, my throat is raw, the muscles around my rib cage are aching, I'm covered in bruises, I have a bump on my knee and a matching one on my bean.

The irony of all this is that a major topic of conversation at the pub was the bylaw that goes into effect in Toronto on Tuesday, making all bars and clubs smoke-free.

I said I couldn't wait. Make that times 10.

interestingly, beer triggers edwardscissors' asthma. something to do with yeasts, he thinks. marmite triggers it, too.

i never even knew you were ashmatic (shows what i know, eh?) but i'm 100% behind you on the smoking ban - i get all sick to my stomach from cigarette smoke. one more reason for me to move the fuck back home to TO!

I'm allergic to brewer's yeast, so if I had asthma it would probably be a trigger.

I think the ban kicks in this week while I'm here. Yay.
