depends on if we're talking about you or someone else. if it's you, i vote for "optimistic". ;)

Well spotted.

Ignorant. Perverse. Blind. Insensate. Futile. Obtuse. Witless.

persistent?

Yeah.
Our own names suffice, generally...

[identity profile] panic-girl.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 05:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed, I'd vote for this option.

Landslide...

"job security."

"fucking idiots."

"These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West.... you know... morons."

You know, I'm not feelin' the love here.

[identity profile] etcet.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
you weren't clear that you were the object of the request.

i responded with a litany of things i can't call my coworkers and remain employed (well, the abridged list, anyway).

i like you; i'd probably have said something nicer for all that. :-)

[identity profile] the-siobhan.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
My fault for being deliberately obscure.

And trust me, I use all those words on myself. I am the people I rant about.

[identity profile] the-siobhan.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
And my comment was me being wry, btw. I wasn't in the least taking it personally.

Serious response I think 'slow' or 'mentally retarded.'

Of course if they're actually doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, that's the definition of insanity.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Yeop!...I am going with insane.

[identity profile] vicki-sine.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
No...not all humans are insane.

Perhaps a majority,...but not all of them.

[identity profile] eveofdstruction.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Einstein's definition notwithstanding, I think a strong argument can be made that nearly everyone has experienced what [livejournal.com profile] the_siobhan is talking about at some point or in some area of their life. Call it temporary insanity if you must. Perhaps the difference lies in my reading of "never friggin' learn" as don't learn as quickly as I'd like to.

Lazy.

As in, when confronted with the question: "Why did that not give me the result I wanted?" respond with "Thinking is hard. Let's go shopping. La la la!!!"

I have to agree with the "human" response. And when it is yourself you are talking about - remember, we are our own worst critic. Well, usually.
