do a new thing every day

I just had my very first ever experience with a Neti Pot.

Weirdest. Sensation. Ever.

Quite the experience, isn't it? I had to use one multiple times a day after I had sinus surgery. It was a bit of a spine tingling experience. Esp as the healing got more intense. LOL

It gave me a head ache and then cause hearing loss in my left ear that gradually went away over three days. Apparently I did it too fast.

Slightly confused there as netty is Northern English slang for the toilet.

Also, that explains the odd thing my housemate kept in the bathroom that I always thought was use in a different orrifice!

I love my neti for things like sinus infections, allergy attacks and sometimes it even helps with migraine relief. Oddest thing I have happen with it is that when using it on one side, I get the water coming out my eye a little :D Apparently I tilt my head a little much that way.

Seconded. My acupuncturists recommended one months ago. I use it occasionally when my sinuses act up. Weird stuff. I felt like I was getting water up my nose and remembered a time when I almost drowned in the ocean and had the same feeling.

How are the results thus far? I've been considering it.

if you get the temperature right, it works really well. it took me a few tries without feeling like i was drowning.

I get sinusitis everytime I get a cold. This looks very interesting.

I'e been doing it most days for a year and a half now. I haven't had a single sinus infection in that time, and I averaged 3 a year my entire life.
