the_siobhan: It means, "to rot" (Default)

the moment of truth

There comes a time in every relationship when you have to let the skeleton out of the closet. When you realize that things are getting pretty, well, serious and that you cannot in all good conscience go any further without revealing the awful truth.

"Honey," I said, "We have to talk."

We sat down together and his face was quiet and serious as I struggled to make my confession. Finally I blurted out the secret shame that I had been keeping from him for all these months.

"I like Tom Waits better than Nick Cave."

(He forgave me.)

ROTFLMFAO oh god Sio... this is why I love you two and you two are perfect for each other. /soft tired little smile/

Good for you, things like that can fester and ruin a perfectly good relationship. :)
If I had to choose one over the other, I'd probably go mad - they're both my boys. :)

Decisions, decisions.

Nick Cave wins hands down for me. No contest there.

Ask me to choose between David Bowie and Peter Murphy, and you'd see my head explode.

Steph

PS - It's OK Sio. I'll still be your friend even if you haven't fully accepted Saint Nick as your one true musical salvation. ;)

Heh. I don't like either of them.

I'm sorry, but both Waits and Cave remind me of rambing drunk guys that wander through my neighbourhood talking to themselves.

And the Bowie/Murphy debate... Bowie, hands down.

Most of my appreciation of Nick Cave comes as a direct result of seeing him live.

Holy fuck, but does he put on an amazing live show.

But in a couple of years, both of them will bow before the song writing talents of Trevor Furious!
(and the vocal virtuosity of Blazin' Matt Meteor.

You know Sio,
I'm glad that the boy can accept that... but...
I don't know that I can.
*sniffle*

it's nick for god's/nick's sake.

I'll join you over in the Bad People's Corner. "Diamonds on My Windshield" okay with you?
