the moment of truth
There comes a time in every relationship when you have to let the skeleton out of the closet. When you realize that things are getting pretty, well, serious and that you cannot in all good conscience go any further without revealing the awful truth.
"Honey," I said, "We have to talk."
We sat down together and his face was quiet and serious as I struggled to make my confession. Finally I blurted out the secret shame that I had been keeping from him for all these months.
"I like Tom Waits better than Nick Cave."
(He forgave me.)

If I had to choose one over the other, I'd probably go mad - they're both my boys. :)

Steph
PS - It's OK Sio. I'll still be your friend even if you haven't fully accepted Saint Nick as your one true musical salvation. ;)
Re: Decisions, decisions.
I'm sorry, but both Waits and Cave remind me of rambing drunk guys that wander through my neighbourhood talking to themselves.
And the Bowie/Murphy debate... Bowie, hands down.
Re: Decisions, decisions.
Most of my appreciation of Nick Cave comes as a direct result of seeing him live.
Holy fuck, but does he put on an amazing live show.
