Wow. That's a lot of water.

I may have once in my life been foolish enough to say I wanted to spend more time with nature, but that didn't mean by inviting it into my house.

Right with you on that. I've decided that I need a dedicated broom for sweeping the water into the drain by the washer, and I've been emptying the dehumidifier about eleventy billion times a day.

We solved that problem by running a hose from the dehumidifier's tank to a drain. It just runs constantly, all by itself.

Thank god everything stored on the floor is in plastic tubs...

It's a good solution, and one I used in my old house. Unfortunately, here, there are no good outlets anywhere near where the dehumidifier would need to go for us not to be using a very long hose.
