Write Every Day: Day 3

It has been so hot in my house for the past couple of days. Toronto has been going through a heat wave, and since we are stuck in the the renovation stage of not having a back wall we haven't been able to run the air conditioning.

BUT! I recalled a conversation I had with sanguinity about writing long-hand, so I took a glass of wine out onto my shaded porch along with a pad and a pen and filled several pages with writing on one of my short-stories until it got too dark to see. Victory!

June 3rd - A 902 word challenge fic. It was one of those where I had a first line but no idea what was going to happen. I'm really pleased with the end result.

Thanks! It practically wrote itself. Sometimes I just throw an opening line at my characters and let them get on with it =) They're surprisingly good at coming up with ideas.

Congrats on finding a comfortable place to write (I am also in Toronto and the idea of not being without air conditioning this week is horrifying), and yay pen and paper! The other reason my "count" is in time and pages is that most of my writing is in a paper notebook with my favourite pen.

Day3: I did two 10 minute stints during first and second intermission of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final, which netted me about a page and a half of stuff that actually moves things along a wee bit.

It's been a nasty couple of days - we have fans on every floor but they don't really keep up when the air is so wet. Fortunately the temperature has dropped a bit this morning.
