There is definitely some of that in play. But sometimes it's not even about the negative stuff. My therapist says it's really hard to get me to talk about my feelings, and I'm like, "... I've been talking about my feelings for the last hour? You were here?"

I dunno, maybe it's because I tend to use a lot of exaggeration to get my point across so people think I'm joking.
