the plague diaries: Day Three

I have a mild headache right now, but I can't tell if it's from covid or the fucking vein throbbing in my forehead.[1]

I am going to write a screenplay. The working title is, "Can she make it through quarantine with her ex without murdering them and burying them in the backyard?[2]"

They are extremely fortunate the basement floor has already been poured. Just sayin'.

I emptied eleven boxes today, did five loads of dishes, and re-packed two boxes that will be leaving with the housemate. And put away stuff. (So much stuff. We only had a 10 x 10 kitchen before the renos, Why Do We Have So Much Stuff?)

This has not noticeably reduced the piles of boxes in the living room.

One more day should be enough to finish unpacking the kitchen. Then I guess I'll move on to shit like taxes and paperwork. I had to cancel all the appointments I made this week and I can't do anything social because of this fucking virus.

I wonder if the liquor store delivers.

That's the end point, yes. Final financial shit is still a bit - up in the air because the renos took so long, but this mortgage period runs out in July so it should all be sorted out one way or another by then.

You can order from the LCBO through DoorDash, but you have to upload a photo of your ID. There's also The Beer Guy that will deliver from both the Beer Store and the LCBO. https://www.thebeerguy.ca/ That's what we usually use because we're lazy. And don't have a car.

I'm totally wearing masks for indoor/outdoor allergies + also PM2.5 from frying. We got an air quality monitor during the summer fires, and holy cow, the particles generated by any kind of frying are through the roof. I knew about medieval women having respiratory disease bc they tended indoor fires all day, but here's a remnant of that today that we don't really think about.

Me with esoteric health facts always. The more you know!

I definitely wore a mask when I was outside during the smog alert days. It made a huge difference.
