back in the new york groove

Apparently it has been over two months since I last posted.

This time of year feels like spring for me. I'm a bear emerging from hibernation, my legs are all wobbly and I'm sniffing around to see the entire landscape changed since I went under.

Coming out of the summer funk is a little slower this year. The weight of the world feels heavier. But hey. Still here. Still alive. That counts for something in the bear world.

I’m in favor of both — it’s a hard year, but I’m still (and always) very happy to hear from my favorite people <3

You have reverse SAD?
Impressive.

I keep telling you to move here. We have no winter. (It's hot as fuck in summer, though).

I'd sell you on universal healthcare, but you're not from the US....
We are Ford-free?

I thought I was pretty good at it. But my brain just fritzed on the idea that Reverse SAD would (presumably) not be related to the sunshine, which based on this here Wiki on CRD suggests might not be the case.

I've always been curious about SAD, in that I've always been curious to see if it would affect me, or not.

The good news: as a medical professional, I'm pretty sure I don't have CRD, however! of the symptoms for the intrinsic disorder, I easily recognise three at various times in the past few months. Sleep science is fascinating.

But I ramble.

I don't know if M has reverse SAD, but I do know that he hates hot sunny days and loves grey rainy weather. This time of year makes him very happy.
