Zen Cho, her first novel is "Sorceror to the Crown" Sofia Samatar Amal El-Mohtar (who is also Canadian) Nnedi Okorafor -- her novella Binti is one of the best things I've read this year, and is up for lots of awards NK Jemisin Alyssa Wong -- she writes more horror than SF/F, which I don't read, but what I can read has been wonderful Tananarive Due (I haven't read her stuff yet, but it is highly recommended) Aliette de Bodard Sunil Patel John Chu S.L. Huang -- her heroine whose "superpower" is math is awesome. Isabel Yap -- her novella "Milagroso" is up on tor.com (LOTS of authors of color on tor.com, actually) Caren Gussof Kai Ashante Wilson
"Long Hidden" and "Mothership: Tales from Afrofuturism and Beyond" are both excellent anthologies
