Neil has said that he wrote Wanda as best he could given his understanding at the time, and would handle some aspects of the story differently now (particularly the part that labels her "not a real woman"). It's still worthy as an example of one of the few high-profile works including a sympathetic portrayal of a trans woman at the time. So I would anticipate that if/when they get to the Doll's House storyline, Wanda will be better served.
