Write Every Day: Day 3

This might be just a check-in post, we'll see if I can get a sentence or two in later tonight.

Tonight I'm attending a virtual history lecture on the Toronto Circus Riot being hosted by the Ontario Genealogical Society. I love hearing about stories like this because it proves that no matter how ridiculous and far-fetched your story might be on the surface, history has something even worse.

And having typed that, it just occurred to me that I should put my own name under the dates I managed to get writing done. D'oh.

Today was another day when I hit a wall, energy-wise, and have struggled to find motivation once my adulting was done, so I ended up adding another 179 words to the little thing I started yesterday.

I really do need to go back and finish the two? three? stories that also started this way. *sighs*

Day 3 - edited a little and got 370 words on Digging Up Bones

200 words, give or take, for day 3. 150 or so of those words surprised me a little, but hey, I'll take it.

I mean does it count if I didn't write a single word on any of my actual projects, but I wrote a lot of words on two Performance Improvement Plans I wish I didn't have to write, and lots of words of tedious emails??? probably not huh.

We're in the next heatwave and yesterday has been miserable. I occupied myself with writing detailed image descriptions for my moodboards, which amount to 1095 words.

Day 4, since this seems to still be the most recent post: A lot of fic comments, due to an exchange revealing, and some noodling about an exchange assignment. I think I know what I'm doing for it? We'll see if I still agree with myself in the morning. :)

It was really interesting. It tied into the history of sectarian violence in the city that really isn't talked about.

Sometimes your brain needs to be distracted by shiny things. They'll still be there when you have the energy to focus on them.

It was really good - I ended up ordering a couple of books about local history by the lecturer because he was so engaging.
