Ignore this if it's unhelpful but screens don't exist in Germany and we were plagued by flies due to the balcony door needing to be open 24/7 or we'd suffocate. Last year I bought a beaded curtain and not only is it the 70s fortune teller vibes that I live for but we now have way, way fewer flies in the house.
