Write Every Day: Day 8

Yesterday was supposed to be visit parent day, but his wife had some respiratory symptoms, so we put it off. Hopefully next week.

So as well as noodling around[1] with housework and bills and such, I spent my day off doing research. Which basically means watching old Peter Davidson[2] Dr Who clips on YouTube because I want to re-use one of his villains. Then I wrote 300ish words.

[2] I initially wrote that as David Peterson, and it took me the longest time of staring at it before I figured out why it looked wrong.

Ah, brains, why do they give us such a hard time? I spend forever trying to remember someone's name only to realise it's the wrong person anyway.

Feb 8th - 2574 words! A challenge ficlet, a double drabble for another challenge, and 5 ficathon fills.

Day 8: Er, I started late, stared at the screen for a while and fell asleep -- with my laptop open in my lap! -- and woke up stiff and hazy, so nothing got written except an alibi sentence. Sheesh. I got a lot of research done earlier in the day, at least.

It was my best guess. A memorable monster as a concept, and I couldn't see you going for the more traditional one-offs.
My other guess would have been the Mallus.
