the_siobhanAs of yesterday, we have a toilet. Yay!
As of tomorrow, we will have a shower again too. By the way, never never ever let me get my hands on a caulking gun. Seriously bad news.
Next steps, patching the hole in the wall next to the tub, covering the sections of the wall we've already patched with something reasonably waterproof, sanding off the hanging strips of paint that fall in my hair when I'm having a shower and covering the whole shebang with moisture-resistant paint, then putting down fresh lino on the floor, and then finally installing the sink.
I can stop showering with bugs. The sink will stop sliding off the wall. The wall will stop sliding off the wall.
It will be great.

disastrid and I will be driving a van containing 9 people (maybe more) under the age of 17 to New York City to see Little Steven's Underground Garage Festival. Every person I tell about this trip gives me the saucer eyes and says, "How did you manage to get yourself into that."
Silly people. I'm looking forward to it. It's going to be a riot.
