the_siobhanMy sister has just taken over the van with the 11 14-to-18 year-old teenagers for the last leg of their journey home. What a gas. They were hilarious, passionate, crude, intense, polite, sincere, generous and some of the hardest people to herd I have ever met. I saw them simultaneously watch out for each other and abuse each other mercilessly.
I also saw them eat their body weights in sugar, and heard more jokes about testicles than I conceived of even being possible.
Two of them made it onto the stage during the Stooges set, and one more got mildly concussed when Iggy Pop stage-dived onto his noggin. So they have stories to go home with.
And I saw Bo Didley rap. That was worth the ticket price alone.
