it takes you in and spits you out

Yesterday Axe & I signed our separation agreement.

This won't really change anything other than having to dump an entirely stupid amount of money on legal fees to draw up a formal property agreement so we don't have to move. We're still partners but more in the "best friends who are roommates" sense than the romantic relationship sense and it's been like that for a while.

The lawyer was entirely weirded out by the idea that two people might split up but not move. I told her most people can't afford a million dollar plus mortgage on their own, so her profession should probably start getting used to the idea of seeing more of it.

Then after dinner a friend came over and we sat on the front porch and drank wine and chatted. It was nice. I might try to do that more often now that the weather is cooling down a bit in the evening. There are still a few people living within walking distance that I could potentially outside-time with.
