So I've been on antibiotics for the past week for my sinus infection.

So you know how for a sizable proportion of us vaginaed folk, a prescription for antibiotics is pretty much a prescription for a yeast infection[1].

And you know how a popular home remedy for a yeast infection is to stuff live-culture yogurt up your quim. (Well if you didn't, you do now.)

So lately I've been taking lactobacillus capsules to try and get my intestinal flora back into some semblance of normal. And as I was popping today's dose a thought just suddenly occurred to me - would there be any down side to just stuffing a couple of capsules up there? I mean it's got to be a lot less messy than the yogurt.

[1]I am informed that in the UK a yeast infection is called "thrush". Which I think is friggin' hilarious, because in Canada thrush is a yeast infection in your mouth. I am twelve.

If it's the same in the US, I am sure there has been hilarious interpretation by me in the past.

In Australia, it's thrush whether it's in your mouth or genital region.
