The Rapture happened.

I know. Not the kinda thing I ever expected I would be saying either.

So all of God's chosen just... whoosh. And that was kind of a shitshow for the next couple of days, because empty cars and apartments and less-holy family memebers left behind and in a call-911-state of panic. But for us front-line folks, in all honesty? Kind of a relief. I don't want to say anything bad about the godly, but they were a bit... on the high maintenance side, if you know what I mean. We got a lot of calls that we had to hold hands and kiss babys that would have been blown off if they had come from any other group. Not criticizing my bosses for making the choices they had to make, just sayin'.

So you know, that's one thing we don't have to worry about any more.

On the other hand, now we do have the demons.

And boy, ain't that a bag of toys.

First couple of weeks, the phone was ringing off the hook. Big scary red dudes with horns roaming around scaring old ladies and causing the citizen concern? It was a thing. But you know what, I think we have a handle on it. Turns out they hate the same people we do. Undesirables creating unrest. Protesters making noise when folks just want to be getting on with their lives. Shady characters. Radicals. Our bosses talked to their bosses and they think we're going to be able to work together.

It's all going to be ok.

Back to normal.
