It's amazing how I often I look up in my daily life. Have I ever mentioned that I frequently scan the tops of buildings without even thinking about it? (The Prime Minister once came to the lab where I was working for some big PR-fest announcing a new government research grant. I was the only person there who spotted the snipers.)
Anyway.
Went to the new house today to measure all the rooms with the help of![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
len9 and the_fury. It's starting to finally sink in -- we bought a house!
Whoop!
I've already picked out my beer drinking spot on the roof.
A freight train went by while we were there. It's not too bad in terms of noise, but it made a big whack of smoke. The tracks are also closer to the house than I remembered. I was regretting not having a camera at hand, so we could use it to tauntthe_macross into visiting.
Anyway. Off to fix the 'hawk, and head out to a rockabilly night.
