Call me crazy, but if the slack-arse Americans are going to get another day to leech off the job creators, and they call it Juneteenth, it should be June 13th.

I believe June 19th is when slavery was officially abolished

I googled! For some reason I always assumed (and consider this wasn't a thing until recently for me) June 13th was the date.

I did see that the last slave was freed in '73. Haven't checked that, but I can not discount it.

Yeah, it's well documented. The great thing about being able to control access to education is you can prevent people from finding out what's being done to you is illegal.

That's excluding prisoners of course. Slavery in prisons is still legal in the US.
