I used to have a policy that no matter what else happened I would find time in the day to spend 20 minutes on the stationary bike. I would do additional stuff if I could, but that 20 minutes was the non-negotiable minimum. And I did pretty good! I kept that up for 4 solid years and then with the executor work and re-mortgage stress it went down to a couple of times a week and from there to... nothing.

So now I'm trying to make it a daily practice again.

So that's what I did yesterday after work. And tax receipts are starting to show up in the mail, so an evening of pushing paper around. Then about 100 words on the fic while listening to Maerchen1313's CanCon stream.

Congrats on making time for the stationary bike. I detest mine so much but, doctor's orders, I'm supposed to keep to the 150 mins a week of cardio thing. So, 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week.

I tried to do 2-3 hours a day, and I kept that up for about 4-5 years.
I watch three TV when I do: 1hr before work, 1hr at lunch and 1hr after.

I *would* dance, I know at least one person who gets their cardio by playing one of those dance games on Nintendo Wii and that sounds like a lot of fun - except I have extremely high arches and have managed to strain basically everything south of my knees. Seats are the worst. I have a cushion for when it gets too much, until I build up resistance. And even then.

I'm trying to get back into it after two years off, and day two hurts a lot.

I don't have any real experience with weights, except that I seem to build (some) muscle on my noodle arms pretty quickly.
