I am at work. On a Saturday night. Again. I hate my job. A lot. I am currently working on figuring out how to get a different one.

Upon leaving work in the morning, I will go straight to the hardware store and buy pieces of things to fix my toilet. I have been without a toilet for two days now. Or actually, I have been with a toilet in the hallway instead of in the bathroom, a location that is decidedly less useful. It is not convenient to not have a toilet in one's bathroom, noted here for those of you who might be so foolish as to try it.

On the plus side, the bathroom wall isn't falling down any more.

Brain still fucked up. Life still goes on.

How y'all doin'?

Finished the first semester of my CCNA in a week. Now onto the second semester. Drank too much at 2600.au meeting. Chaired a Labor for Refugees meeting. Ran the service at the local Unitarian church a few hours ago.

Very busy at the moment. Feeling focussed.

That sounds interesting - I'll have to go back and scan your LJ again, I may have missed previous posts about it. (I've been an intermittant reader lately.)

Hey, I founded Labor for Refugees. Damn troublemaker ;-)

'Twas very exciting watching it turn into a powerful national organization...

Didn't realise you were leaving, or I would have sent some commiserations your way.

S'aright. The whole "having to leave while everybody else is partying" thing really serves to rub my nose in how unhappy I am at my current job - so I actually find it easier to just sneak out without saying much.

Bad. It's bad.

And to top it all off, my nose started bleeing for no reason at work yesterday. That hasn't happened since '96 or so.

My sympathy. That happened to me all the time when I was a kid, but I don't think it's ever happened in my adult life. Probably comes from not living somewhere so dry as Saskatchewan any more.

See here's the scary part: I'm from Calgary and now I'm in Toronto. There should be no reason for the random nosebleeds. The air can't possibly be dry here. There was a weather system that came in, but again I come from the land of crazy barometric changes, so that can't be it.
Sadly, I think it may be have been stress related.

I thought it might be that, but I didn't want to assume.

It's no big deal. Really. ;)

Damn it. At least your subject line makes me smile. :)

It's no big deal to you. Seems it's a HUGE deal to others. And best to just leave it at that, you know?

Stress not good. Not much else I can say, but I'm suffering from my own, so I can at least empathise.

Hang in there.

Packing.

Stressing about the house and all the stuff that needs to get done before the closing date. Getting excited and then stressed and then excited again.

Finally sleeping well again after a few weeks of heat-induced insomnia.

Need some help with the job-hunting/resume stuff? Gimme a shout if you do.

Insert "new job" instead of buying house, and that sums up where I'm at.
