I saw a bus today with a parking ticket. That's a new one.

Thursday's word of the day was brought to you by my attempts to learn how to use a new scheduling software. Stuffing that much new information into my brain gives me a sensation reminiscent of passing a 10-lb hamster through a 5-lb python.

I think I have the hang of it now, but it doesn't really do everything I was hoping for. I may download a few demos and try them out. (Recommendations happily accepted.)

The high point of today has been meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] bcholmes for lunch - and stumbling across a parade in honour of Taoist Tai Chi appreciation day. Including a couple of very small Chinese dragons*, and people doing forms on the back of a couple of flatbed trucks, and on the sidewalk as the parade went by.

Apparently the traditional instrument of the Taoist marching band is bagpipes. Who knew?

* Originally typo'd as "drags". Which would have been more bemusing.
