My mouth tastes like gravel and my eyes are full of shit. Er... that's how that goes, right?

On weekends I usually lock my bike up on the loading dock at work, because there are no deliveries. Today I was so tired that when I got to the top of the steps, holding my bike up in the air, I got stuck - and then started to Very. Slowly. Tip. Over. Backwards.

I escaped falling back down the stairs by careening gracelessly into the metal banisters. I think I've figured out why I have so many damn bruises.

I'm at the point where cars don't try to kill me every time I leave the house any more. But pedestrians and other bicyclists do. And squirrels. This morning alone I got faked out by three squirrels. I'm not sure what would happen if I actually hit one but I suspect it would involve yet another broken nose.

Hopefully it will be another slow day and I can get some work done. And maybe a nap. On the floor. Yeah.

Oh dear! I hope you're feeling lots better today, that the bruises bugger off and that the tipping backward down a staircase thing never happens again. (One must be specific about these things. *grin*)
