I've been fighting a low-grade fever all week. Not enough to make me fall down, just enough to make me feel tired and crappy.

Friday night I was trying to get it together to get out of the house. I fell asleep standing up and leaning on [livejournal.com profile] the_axel's shoulder. He put me to bed. Go me.

Last night I managed to stay out to the heroic hour of 9pm before coming home and falling down. Go me times two.

And I burned off my fingerprints at work. If ever there was a time for me to launch a career as an international jewel thief, this would be it.

And in spite of all this, I'm actually feeling pretty good about life.

On Tuesday, I see a shrink.

Wow.

How did you burn your fingerprints off?

Good luck with the shrink. You looked fab on Saturday, btw.

I was pulling frozen plasma out of shipping crates full of dry ice. Repeatedly.

All the skin on my fingertips peeled off, and the surface of my fingers was smooth for about 12 hours. I kept dropping things.

This is going into the "stupid anatomical trivia" section of my brain.

Frozen plasma?! And dry ice? Sounds like fun!

In a not so nearly adventurous way I had quite the opposite problem Saturday, new household cleaner apparently had something my hands didn't agree should be touching them, and my fingerprints turned white. Thought it'd go well later with the potential to be under black light, but it faded by that point.

Get well!

One of the bartenders at the Smart Bar (bar beneath The Metro in Chicago) made a drink she called "chicken butt" just to hear people have to ask for it. I cannot remember what it consisted of, but I think peach schnapps was involved.

Shrink=good.
I'm dealing with having to start all over with a new one and it's OK so far.
