I'd assume spare plugs, switches, etc. My guess would be an improperly-labeled box in an obvious place, like a shelf in basement or garage or whereever tooly things are stored.

In the closet near the kitchen? Or more probably in some unlabeled box in the basement buried underneath other stuff, just to make it difficult.

I, of coures, was looking up in the attic because that's where all the switchboxes are kept.
