I was adding a new patch to my jeans today when it occured to me that the first person who ever showed me how to sew was Mike Taylor.

26 years later and I just noticed this. I shit you not.

What it is about fabric and stitches and memory? I've been doing more of my pre-move clean-out and, sorting through 15-20 years of old remaining clothes, there are still some that I looked at just once and couldn't part with. I can't imagine ever wearing them again but I just can't let them go...

God, I have those.

I have a couple of tshirts that I just love but are utterly beyond hope of repair. I cut off the fronts in the hope that I'll find a jacket I can sew them on the back of.
