Break a leg at the interview. Just don't break it tooo hard, since you'll need to walk on it around Italy. Have a great time on vacation. Learn the secrets of italian cooking. I've always wanted to see some of those beautiful places... I hope you will take lots of pics.

what a shame you do not have enough time to travel further, i.e. to Germany, just for german practise *s*.
but snatching some mediterranian cooking secrets ist a good start.
have a good time, have fun, have many impressions and do not forget to relax!

There are tons of Germans here, actually. They seem to be fairly regular vistors, the most common translations I see for signs and menus are French, German and English.

There's also a German television station that broadcasts into Italy. They talk too fast for me to parse the words, but I'm doing pretty well following the German tourists.
