it's a wonderful life
Mar. 6th, 2006 03:14 pmEvery morning for the past week, I have woken up, looked
the_axel straight in the eye and said, "I don't have to go to the Blood Bank today."
I tell you, that shit never gets old.
I'm trying to ease myself into going back to the gym. My lungs still have the tendancy to slam shut when I go outside, but that will improve as the weather gets warmer. I will be starting work at 1pm every day, so my plan is go to the gym four mornings a week, shower and change there and jump directly on the bus. By the end of the summer, chronic back pain will be only a distant and unpleasant memory, oh yes it will.
I'm toying with the idea of lodging a complaint with WSIB over how bloody useless they were. I still haven't heard anything back about the appeal I requested in December, and I had to quit my job in order to resolve the problem. (For the non-Ontarians, WSIB is government-run insurance that companies buy into to cover them against employee injury at the workplace.)
In the meantime, I am going to finish eating this apple pie and writing down the details of my Italy trip, and then I'm going to go jump in the shower. Then I'm gong to spend the rest of the afternoon playing with storyboards.
Because I Don't Have To Go To The Blood Bank tonight.
Huzzah.

Date: 2006-03-06 08:51 pm (UTC)When I quit HellHole, I felt this huge surge of energy. I felt like ai could take on the world. I arranged it so that I had a two week break before starting the new job. I lounged, saw a NMA concert, met friends for three martini lunches, got a massage and went to New Orleans for a week. It was absolutely, incredibly wonderful.
Sounds like you're having an equally wonderful time. :)
