I'm supposed to be at a punk show tonight, being roisterous. Instead I am at home. Because I woke up this morning with the falling down disease again.

Less severe than last time it happened, but I still managed to wrench my still-fussy back staggering around in the shower. For fuck's sake. So I'm just disoriented enough not to want to go to a gig by myself in case I tip over in front of a street car or something.

Some days. I'm telling you.

I haven't posted much because quite frankly I haven't done much. I had all these plans - get some writing done, clean the house, catch up with family and friends, get back into a routine at the gym. I haven't done any of it. Not a bit. I have noodled, I have lounged, I have slept in. Oh yeah, and Carl Johnson has taken over all the competing gang territory in Los Santos twice because I managed to accidentally delete one of my saved games.

And you know, I'm having a really hard time feeling guilty about it.

I can totally understand the planned things which have not happened yet and the loafing and not feeling at all guilty. I had huge plans for house cleaning, going out, seeing people, dancing my ass off--and they all came to a screaming hault because of inflamation almost to the point of rupture of a and "organ" that's really more of a protrusion from my lower intestine that started out smaller them my pinky finger. Sigh. Nothing like surgery to keep you from getting things done--but also there's nothing like surgery to give you a reason to catch up on your movie watching, music listening, and eventually once the stupids from the anesthesia and the extreme exhaustion wear off, your correspondence, your reading and once you really start to feel smart, your review of potential jobs.

Hope your feet figure out they belong on the ground and your head that it's not supposed to be touching your feet...being dizzy and disoriented is No Fun at all.

Honest to goodness, sometimes loafing is necessary and good.

I always think about all the important things I should be doing.

But yeah, I'm trying to learn to relax. I think somehow I'm succeeding.

I've been wanting to do some t-shirts with the image on it for ages. So I did a google search for some pics and just slapped the text on them.

What program did you use to add the text?

Think anybody would recognize a picture of Jean Cousteau if I did one of him?
