I find that after a warm-up having a sore throat doesn't affect me too much. I lose a couple of notes from the top of my range and (oddly enough) a couple right in the middle, but it's none too bad at all.

I also recommend Dutch Courage... I sing better when relaxed. YMMV, of course :)

I had notes I just couldn't find, and I lost a lot of my flexibility. Once I warmed up though, it was a lot of fun.

I know what you mean...in the past 2 days I've:
- aggravated a shoulder injury that hasn't troubled me in 5 years.
- fought off a cold
- had my car need some very expensive repair (of course the part isn't covered under warranty).

They say bad things happen in 3s...hopefully that's it for a while.
