the_axel generously took the bullet for me when my third self-injury came due. He walked into one of the clamps that holds the ductwork onto the basement ceiling and took a sizable chunk of meat right out of the top of his head.

Then he walked upstairs, bent over to let me see it and said, "How bad is it?" Well you all know how much anything on your head bleeds, right? I think my response was something along the lines of "Holy Shit!"

No serious damage. But he'll have a nice scar he can make up war stories about.

I think part of the pig roast party should be padding most of your home. Sort of the opposite of the sledgehammer party.

Even so, maybe Axel better just sit on the ice for our pairs routine. I'll pull him around or something.
