How scattered do you have to be to leave for work and forget to put on a coat?

Every morning when I'm biking to work, I collect up a complete change of clothes for when I arrive. Well, almost every morning. Over the past month, on three separate days I've forgotten *something*. Apparently I've given weight to the adage that you can only think about three things at once, and I'm going to have to go back to packing the night before.

This morning the weather was a bit annoying, I kitted up for a cold ride and was ready to strip off layers as soon as I crossed the river.

Hey! Watch who you're calling scattered!

(I do this *all* the time...)

Less scattered than leaving for work and forgetting to put on pants.

J went to a late October/early November WGW and forgot to bring a jacket or coat. I still tease him about that!

I've almost forgotten pants when leaving the house. So ya know, you're not alone in this one!

One time, I forgot I had a kid and went to leave the house. Keiron was 3 weeks old. I walked down the hallway and went to get in the elevator before I realised "HOLY SHIT!" and ran back.

Get outta my brain woman! I was just about to respond that as long as she remembered to put her pants on the rest is gravy. :p

There's about a 5-to-10 degree temperature difference between work and home, so I never know how to dress.

On the upside, I know no matter how nasty it is when I leave here at the end of the day I'll be a lot more comfortable when I walking to the house from the bus stop.

A sleep-starved, depressive post-partum haze will do that to you.

But I got bettah!

The weather report only ever says that there's a 1C difference between home and work, but as soon as I cross the Charles, it's like I enter another temperature zone. At first I thought that I must warm up by then on my ride to work, but on the way home in winter, I can feel the temp. drop as I cross back.
Layers, and lots of zippers to adjust ventilation, that's my only answer. :)
