running on empty
Jun. 12th, 2002 01:21 pmI'm at the "I suppose I should eat something" stage.
My stomach has a tendancy to shut itself off if I ignore it long enough. I figure it's a side effect of having had to go hungry for extended periods in my life.
So I wander around the house poking at the various things in the fridge -- the things that aren't green and fuzzy, anyway -- but nothing looks appealing.
It doesn't normally bother me to go for a week or so without eating, but coming so soon after the grab-one-meal-a-day-on-the-run that is my Convergence experience, I realized today that I've lost a whole lot of weight in a very short time period. So I think it's probably not good to let this go on for too long.
I think what I need is to grab some fruit before I go to work. Sugar is usually pretty good for jump-starting an appetite.
