I think I'm sick.
I've had a nasty headache for a couple of days now. The kind that starts off by crunching your neck and shoulder muscles in a steel vice, then crawls up the back of your head to settle in just behind your temples. Not much in the way of other symptoms, the occasional sneeze and an overwhelming desire to sleep for as long a time as possible.
And I'm grouchy like you would not believe.
the_axel has been walking on eggshells.
I always knew he was bright.
Still I managed to get a lot of stuff done yesterday. Hit the post office and the bank -- the latter requiring two seperate visits with a 20 minute wait both times. Shredded some of the drywall in the garage and stuffed it into bags for the trash. Did all the laundry. Went to the hardware store (twice) and repaired the fixture in the bathroom that's been falling off the wall and replaced the light in the office. The latter required digging a huge hole in the plaster ceiling to install it properly -- the previous light had just been screwed into the plaster -- so by the time I was finished my hair, eyes, throat and clothes were coated with white crap. Not to mention the office floor.
Beer does wonders at clearing plaster dust out of the throat, by the way.
Then I fell down.
So much for my day off. Back to work this afternoon.
At this rate, I'm almost looking forward to being homeless.
