I'm in Parkdale. so this must be Monday
Aug. 25th, 2003 02:06 pmI slept for 10 hours last night. Go me.
Because the timing could not be better, this is the week the insurance company has decided that somebody has to come around and inspect our house.
Then again, maybe the timing isn't so bad. I've been going slowly nuts over the piles of almost-but-not-quite-done-being-sorted crap all over the place, and I really need to clear some space for
lee_chaos to sleep in. (I hope to hell he's not allergic to dust.)
the_axel has been a prince about taking care of all the laundry and dishes while I've been running around like a maniac, but figuring out where things are going to live and what can be put in storage really requires two people.
Of course what he's really interested in is the wiring (fucked) and the heating (slightly less fucked) but I'm pretty sure that reducing the fire-trap ambiance might not be an unwise move as well.
(The rust-coloured water that comes out of the taps whenever they start digging on my street, however, is not our fault and cannot be held against us.)
And at some point I need to cook the last of the meat so I can de-ice the freezer.
alt.polycon went pretty well -- it was a small group, but everybody seemed to be pretty happy with everything. The hotel did a good job in spite of some prior arguing, and I actually got to spend some time in the consuite engaging in the fine art of the Bullshit.
And Toronto shows well for guests. She really does. I love this city.
And exactly one week from today, Catalyst will be over.
Oh. My. God.
