Earth Hour

Ended up being three. 'Cause we were too busy with our candle-lit dinner and our post-dinner candle-lit conversation to notice the passage of time.

We have already decided that next year we are hosting a dinner party. Because there is something about the flicker of flame light on skin that results in intimacy and conversation and a kind of gentleness towards other human life forms that you really can't find under electric light.

I will not be unhappy if this ends up being a tradition.

What a lovely idea. I was on my way downtown during Earth Hour and several restaurants had turned off all the lights in their dining room and had candles on the tables instead. They all looked so pretty and inviting.

If our fireplace was in working order, Earth Hour would have been the perfect time to spark up a roaring fire and have wine and cheese.

Every night's Earth hour here. We do dinner by candle light most nights. They're never taking my goth card away, or something. *grin*

I've always HATED electric light and have lived as much by candle light and the cold glow of the a monitor since I was about 14. My mom always swore that I'd burn the place down.
