the_siobhanThank you for all the congratulations. I haven't stopped grinning since I found out.
The official title is Predictive Dialer Administrator (TR). The "TR" means that it's a training position - in 5 months we decide if we like each other enough to tie the knot.
It's in the same call centre where I've been working for the last two years. Instead of speaking to clients I'll be managing the jobs worked by the credit counselors, scheduling resources, running reports and doing the front-line trouble-shooting on equipment. It's a small group - five people in Toronto manage the jobs for somewhere between 100 to 200 credit counselors - and something like five more PDA staff are split between Montreal and Vancouver. I sat with some of the existing PDA staff for a few hours and they assure me that the learning curve is pretty steep in the beginning; which means YAY MENTAL CHALLENGE and then once I get completely comfortable in the role there is the possibility of working with other departments on specific projects.
It's a lot more responsibility and more money and more exposure to managers who will be won over by my BRILLIANCE.
So yeah. Pleased doesn't even begin to describe it.
