I actually felt the moment my brain chemistry changed this time. Very odd. I don't know if this was a particularly abrupt shift, or if I'm just getting better at noticing it.

The sound of a depressive mood shift, btw, is that of a large cloth mesh bag full of wet flour hitting a hardwood floor.

Then we went to the Henry Ford, Bruce Campbell and IPM, Also odd, feeling like one's life is a black pit of endless despair while simultaneously having a really good time.

Pffft. Whatever. The brain rot monsters are getting smaller and slower every time they show up. I'll be showing this one to the door in short order.

On the bright side, being able to notice when that shift is occuring takes a lot of the mystery out of what's behind the way you're feeling and makes it a bit easier to recognize it for what it is, rather than just being some pit of despair from which there's no escape... At least you have a little more feeling of control when you can easily identify what's going on.

At least you're still capable of having fun ~ hopefully that will help to shove the bad feelings to the curb *very* soon :)

Usually means I'm not moving enough. I go stagnant if I sit in one spot for too long.

FYI, a panic attack sounds like an air raid siren slowly winding back down.

Many kudos for the Love in Hell subj line... and of course, hopes for an improved day overall.

I have an image of an army of tiny, kickass, Siobhans bouncing rot monsters at the nightclub of your brain.

I haven't felt it in the "more depressive" direction but I have felt it in the "less depressive" direction. Sometimes immediately after eating ice cream.

Dude, I got to a point where I could gauge it by the amount of oil in my skin. Definitely something bio firing there. But, hey, according to DMS knowing is pretty much the entire battle.

Plus: the cold and rainy sucks it. I for one welcome our new mood overlords. (Well, not really, but it sounded appropriately witty when it sprung to mind.)

brain rot monsters

Sounds like an excellent name for a band.

Also odd, feeling like one's life is a black pit of endless despair while simultaneously having a really good time.

That's how I'm like with my own brain rot. Good to hear they're getting smaller and slower and have sound!
