The Toronto Tourism board has a new advertising campaign. On bus shelters and posters all over the city it says in big letters "Wecome to Toronto" and underneath in even bigger letters "We're Expecting You".

Of course every time I see this the theme from The Love Boat starts unspooling in my head.

This is all bad enough. But the real clincher is that the more tired I am, the less able I am to control the part of my brain that starts singing along with whatever is playing in my head...

One day some poor bastard commuter is going to snap and take me out with his lunch pail. And no jury in the world would convict him.
